The Official Installation of Father Wilhelm Ettner as Pastor
of St. John Bosco Catholic Church
The official installation of Father Wilhelm Ettner as Pastor of St. John Bosco Catholic Church was held on Sunday, July 15, 2007, during the 10:30 AM Mass. Bishop Paul S. Loverde had dispatched Father Leo Zondafeld, the Dean of Deanery IV, of which we are part, to serve in his stead to complete the ceremony of installation. Following the Mass, there was a reception in Hanley Hall which was attended by a large number of parishioners. They had come to congratulate Father Ettner for his appointment and to wish him well as our St. John Bosco Church Shepherd. A number of Father Ettner's family from Northern Virginia also attended the installation and the reception, Father Ettner's father, three brothers, and his sister. The food was catered by Shaffers of Woodstock, and the decorated cakes were provided by Kathy Litten. John Alcott addressed the reception and spoke briefly about Father Ettner's time as Administrator and the love the parishioners have for him. After Father Ettner gave thanks for all of our blessings, we enjoyed the light snacks and cakes. The St. John Bosco Catholic community wishes Father Ettner only the best as he shepherds our church as Pastor. Scroll down to see the photos.
