From 1982 until 2005, the Parish Charity assistance work was performed by a sub-organization of the International St. Vincent de Paul Society. In 2005, it became a Parish Organization under the name of St. John Bosco Catholic Outreach, with a Mission Statement as follows:

“Parish volunteers administer the Parish Charity Assistance efforts on non-discriminatory basis to all Shenandoah County impoverished residents by providing food supplements, clothing, household items, furniture and appliances. We also help to provide financial assistance for utility bills and emergency gasoline.”  

Our volunteers work very hard without pay to serve our brothers and sisters in our community.  The dollar you spend in our store, that same dollar will go to help those who are in need in our County.
